McDonald's to re-train staff after Pune fiasco

NEW DELHI: McDonald’s India, the country’s largest burger chain, said it will re-train its employees "where required" after a staffer in a Pune outlet asked a destitute child to leave, prompting condemnationRe on social media. A lady customer had taken a street child inside the outlet to buy him food and was standing with him in the queue when a McDonald’s staffer allegedly pushed the boy out, saying: "These kind of people were not allowed inside the store." The lady managed to buy him a Fanta Float, a beverage owned by Coca-Cola. She subsequently posted details of the incident on social networking site Facebook.
